God so loved the world that he released and literally chose to give His only begotten son, that whoever would believe in Him would not perish!
You were like sheep going astray. 1Peter 2:25
That’s what God says we are like-lost lambs. Human beings are incapable of finding salvation on their own. God had to provide that salvation on His own, and this is what he has done.
What I am reading this morning from the book below:
Our Pastor spoke about this verse Sunday at church and it really made me think about what kind of path we leave as we go through life and others see. I want my children and grand children to know and see that I follow the straight path. I am not perfect and I stumble upon many rocks along the way but I do have Jesus Christ who gives me peace and joy as I travel this path. I know that Jesus died for me on the cross so that mine and your sins may be forgiven. He freely gives us grace and salvation all we have to do is open that door and let Jesus in our heart. You will never be the same again. Some people think it means you become boring and no fun, a slave, chained, but it is the exact opposite. You are in chains and darkness until you find Jesus Christ. The freedom, the light, the love Jesus gives is radical. As you go through life, yes there will be sorrow and tough times, but deep inside you can find the peace and joy to survive that only Jesus can give. We have hope knowing one day we will be with Jesus Christ. So choose to walk the straight path that others can see which leads to Jesus and his love, peace, and joy.
As I drive to work each morning I cross over this 3 mile bridge that has the most spectacular views of the water. It is my time to take a deep breath, draw in the beauty around me and thank God for all the things he has provided in my life! As I was admiring his beauty these word came to me and I wanted to share them with you. The picture of the clouds is a photo I took while walking along the beach. I hope it brings you encouragement. Jesus is always there for you just breathe in his word each morning before you start your day, breathe in his spirit to help guide you as you go through your day, breathe in his life to help you be more like him as you walk in your journey, breathe in his beauty that is all around you if you just look for it, and breathe in his LOVE that is always there to comfort you and give you peace and joy even in times of trouble and hardship.
Bible Journaling, who ever heard of such? I am not sure if it is because I was raised Catholic or what but I have always considered the bible something scared that you did not write in it, I might place notes, cards, etc… In it but never write in my bible. I guess as a Catholic I felt God was this almighty, powerful God that I feared, and therefore could not get close to him. I have learned though the years that I can have a close personal relationship with God through his son Jesus Christ. The bible is God’s love relationship with us, and he and I can talk to each other through the word. I can write, journal, in my bible my thoughts, fears, important verses I want to remember, etc… And it is ok.
I have been looking a lot at bible journaling lately. Today I decided to do my first bible journaling, nothing beautiful , but it is a start.
