This is a name that is both Christian and trendy. It means grace or gift in Hebrew.
Joanna is shown as the wife of Chuza, steward to Herod Antipas while being listed as one of the women who “had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities” who accompanied Jesus and the Apostles, and “provided for Him from their substance.
“Lilac Girl” was inspired from book I read titled, “Lilac Girls.” I hope this painting inspires women to fight for freedom, love, and second chances. You can also check this painting out on my site.
I added a picture of the book. it is based on real women in history. It is a very powerful and emotional read.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.”
And God blessed man. Genesis 1:1,27
Blessed is the man who is like a tree planted by streams of water
That yields its fruit in its season,
And its leaf does not wither. Psalms 1:3
Behold, the virgin Mary shall conceive and bear a son,
And they shall call his name Immanuel
(which means, God with us.) Matthew 1:23
My word for 2018 is TRUTH.
My wish for this year is a new beginning, a blessed year.
A year we attain wisdom, understanding, and truth.
May this year bear much fruit.
May I stay in the word and through the word know and live these principles.
This is my goal for 2018.

Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her! Luke 1:45
- one of the best ways to make yourself happy is to make other people happy.

from the book, “The Happiness Project “.
We are great at killing our own dreams. Either we see ourselves as selfless for putting off our dreams or we avoid our dreams by criticizing everything and seeing it as “discernment.”
We operate out of fear and go to great lengths to avoid disappoint. Even to the point that we extinguish the flame of possibility before anyone else has the opportunity to blow it out. It feels safer that way. What if we discover things we really want and can’t have them? What would we do then?
Kill the dreaming, hoping, and longing. Douse the flame before you get burned.
We are afraid of pain.
From my morning reading in “Fresh Brewed Life.”
God so loved the world that he released and literally chose to give His only begotten son, that whoever would believe in Him would not perish!
You were like sheep going astray. 1Peter 2:25
That’s what God says we are like-lost lambs. Human beings are incapable of finding salvation on their own. God had to provide that salvation on His own, and this is what he has done.
What I am reading this morning from the book below:
Our Pastor spoke about this verse Sunday at church and it really made me think about what kind of path we leave as we go through life and others see. I want my children and grand children to know and see that I follow the straight path. I am not perfect and I stumble upon many rocks along the way but I do have Jesus Christ who gives me peace and joy as I travel this path. I know that Jesus died for me on the cross so that mine and your sins may be forgiven. He freely gives us grace and salvation all we have to do is open that door and let Jesus in our heart. You will never be the same again. Some people think it means you become boring and no fun, a slave, chained, but it is the exact opposite. You are in chains and darkness until you find Jesus Christ. The freedom, the light, the love Jesus gives is radical. As you go through life, yes there will be sorrow and tough times, but deep inside you can find the peace and joy to survive that only Jesus can give. We have hope knowing one day we will be with Jesus Christ. So choose to walk the straight path that others can see which leads to Jesus and his love, peace, and joy.
